To kickstart the blog for the new year, we will be going back to the beginning – Alpha. We will be journeying through the truth surrounding our understanding of God. In a world like ours where there are diverse beliefs and perceptions, there are quite a lot of misconceptions about who God is. Once upon a time, some said He was Elijah and some said He was Moses, but today we are going to help you take the first step in understanding who your God is.
The Bible is a great foundation for anyone who wants to truly know God. From the stories of the bible, the true nature of God is revealed throughout the scriptures for the knowledge of His people. From His love and mercy to His wisdom and omnipotence, knowing God forms the solid foundation of your walk with Divinity here on Earth. In 1 John 4:8, the bible tells us that “Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love”. The revelation of this truth is strong enough to reveal a wildfire of truths about who God is and who we are created to be – in Him. Therefore, to know your God is to realise that you were created to be like Him. In the most literal sense of the scripture, if you do not have love then it means you have not yet understood the depth of your own twisted heart. To not understand this is to be voluntarily bound after receiving the free gift of salvation. So as you read this, examine your heart. Do you really have love? Do you really know your God? If you don’t, say these words to your God at this moment: “Father, help me to become more like you. I want to have love in my heart – the kind of love that only comes from the revelation of who you truly are. Amen”.
There is so much that the Bible reveals about who God is and you cannot cheat yourself out of this experience any longer. It is time for you to truly experience a taste of Heaven here on Earth. The moment you allow your God to reveal himself to you, your life and your perspective on life will be transformed forever. The answer to the questions you have about your God is to seek Him. In Jeremiah 29: 12 -13, God himself says “You will call my name. You will come to me and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will search for me, and when you search for me with all your heart, you will find me”. Verse 14 is the cherry on top of the cake. In Verse 14 God says, “And I will let you find me”. How great is that? He wants you to know Him so much that he has made it so easy that all you have to do is to seek Him and He will make sure that you find Him.
While the biblical teachings guide us to this revelation, personal revelation also plays a crucial role in understanding God on an individual level. One personal revelation of God is His love languages; one of which is the language of sacrifice. Throughout the bible and other religions, we constantly see the significance of sacrifices in sojourning through the spiritual walk. It is crucial that you do not neglect the importance of sacrifice in your relationship with God. Through sacrifice, you can uncover revelations of God that usher you into a deeper realm of the supernatural.
We pray for you today that as you begin and continue to seek God with all of your heart, your understanding of the Divine is transformed and your life is transformed as a result. We pray that through the revelation of the Godhead in you, you begin to spread the truth of who He is to everyone around you so that they may know that He is God, all-powerful.
Till next time,
Seek your Father with an open heart
